OK I have sorted the partition issue thanks to UniPi tech support: manually resizing the SD card partition using gparted on another Linux system.
However I'm still looking for a guide to the 'official' way to upgrade nodeJS, npm and NodeRed on a UniPi Neuron. I'd like nodeJS 18 and Node-RED 3 if possible. The only documentation I came across regarded nodeJS 14 as 'new'!
Ich habe bei mir ein unipi 1.1 bekomme auch Information von mervis zurück ,jetzt meine Frage ,wieviel Modbus Knoten kann ich in node red einbringen.
Ich habe 3 Stück, bei den die Verbindung unterbricht
Was mache ich falsch
I'm going to add my problem similar to this question.
I purchased xG18 and connected it to Neuron L203, in which I use node red. I have two xS11s besides the xG18 and I connected everything via /etc/evok.conf, so I can see all the extensions in the configuration panel.
However, I can relay outputs through Unipi Nodes (input, output) but I can't read temperatures from xG18 this way.
The thermometers are reported as UART 3 3.1-8, but cannot be read.
I have also tried a form such as UART 3 3 1 (As in the configuration panel), but also to no avail.
I also tried the MODBUS RTU node but there I reached an Error on the bus. "Error: data length error, expected 21 got 1"
Did you come to any solution like temperature read out?
Thank you and happy thinkering
I found out I had many SPI CRC2 errors in my kernel logs.
Looking around I found this post
It turns out the stock image 20220412.0 for nodered actually ships with the broken revision 1.108 of the kernel module.
Thanks to @knebb 's instructions I was able to downgrade to v1.106 and my neuron seems to be working fine again.
I hope someone from the customer support gets to see this post and fixes the image quickly.
Guys, you have a terrific product line (I bought two neurons and some accessories over the years and I am a very happy customer), but you should really improve the regression testing before releasing: it is not the first time I have problems when trying to use an official image: see here
I might be able to provide you with some logs in case you need help in troubleshooting on older hardware (S103 S/N 109 from 2017): just contact me in the next couple of days - then I'll have to put the system back on the field.
