        Hello @janjoris,

thank you for your question. xG18 is a standard Modbus RTU device, so the simplest way is to use the generic Modbus node available in Node-red.

All necessary documents including the Modbus register map can be downloaded from the product page.

Moreover, we are working on a series of tutorials aimed at open-source tools used on Unipi products. Using Node-red together with our extension will be definitely one of the topics. The first part should be available on our website soon. Stay tuned :-).

          Hello,
I'm going to add my problem similar to this question.
I purchased xG18 and connected it to Neuron L203, in which I use node red. I have two xS11s besides the xG18 and I connected everything via /etc/evok.conf, so I can see all the extensions in the configuration panel.
However, I can relay outputs through Unipi Nodes (input, output) but I can't read temperatures from xG18 this way.
The thermometers are reported as UART 3 3.1-8, but cannot be read.
I have also tried a form such as UART 3 3 1 (As in the configuration panel), but also to no avail.
I also tried the MODBUS RTU node but there I reached an Error on the bus. "Error: data length error, expected 21 got 1"
Did you come to any solution like temperature read out?
          Thank you and happy thinkering
