I made the connection according to the instructions https://kb.unipi.technology/en:hw:03-unipi11:description-of-io:01-description-of-di#di13-14 and changed the EVOK config(uncomment 13/14 and substitute correct pin number). file, but inputs 13/14 still do not appear in the web interface (RPI restarted, browser cache cleared).

      Hello @emomiilol ,

can you please share a set of all SW you are using for this test with its configuration?

The main reason can be the sampling rate of the A/D converter. For full resolution, there are 2-4 samples per second only. See excerpt from the MCP3422A0 datasheet:

@Jeff I replied to you over email, but for documentation purposes, I'll reply also here.

You can find the connector pinout in the official documentation: https://kb.unipi.technology/en:files:products:03-unipi_1

Hello @martin-kudláček, Thanks for the response. I would like to use 12 bit which will enable me the Analog input sampling rate of 240Hz as mentioned in the MCP3422 manual. Is there any way to know how to check if the current ADC resolution is 12 bits? and if it is not the resolution I need, how do I write the configuration register for ADC for 240Hz mode using I2C?
      Any suggestions would be helpful.

      Thanks in advance,
      Rajesh.

@Martin-Kudláček do you know a good way to eliminate these false positives? Maybe an extra circuit before the input of the Unipi 1.1?

      Hello @ketolone,
the root login is disabled by default as a security measure. To perform commands as a superuser, login as user unipi and use sudo before any command or switch to the superuser completly with sudo bash.

I believe this was the cause of your confguration problems.

      Best regards,
      Martin

      Hello @John-Brindle,

You should be able to find detailed information about UniPi 1.1 on our website. Based on your questions you may get more mileage out of our Neuron models, as the UniPi 1.1 only has a limited number of inputs and outputs. It also lacks the capability to measure current.

We supply a standard-compliant 1Wire master with an OWFS interface, which means that if you are willing to write your own software support for your 1Wire-compliant device it will work. The MAX31850K-1 however appears to use a 1Wire-like protocol instead of true 1Wire; based on information I can find it ought to be compatible, as we simply provide a fully standard-compliant 1Wire master, but I cannot guarantee it.

In terms of third-party devices the question is in practice about the communication interface they use, rather than their nature. As such while UniPi devices will work with e.g. many flow meters, they will certainly not function with all devices of that class on the market.

I'd encourage you to peruse our documentation further and see if the unit fits your specific use, particularly with the number of I/Os, and to perhaps look at our other offerings as well to see whether they would not be a better fit.

      I hope this helps

We don't officially support using the touchscreen with the UniPi 1.1. I would try it first without the UniPi 1.1 board. If it works that way you may have a conflict on the I2C port, which the touchscreen uses.

There is a number of topics regarding the touchscreen I2C address conflicts on the official forums, which may be of further help.

      @c.man It should work.
The UniPi board is adding drivers to the existing Raspberry Pi UART signals.
CODESYS for UniPi doesn't add anything to support the serial ports.
CODESYS for Raspberry Pi supports the raspberry Pi serial ports and Modbus, including the ASCII mode.
If you require further assistance on the software side of this I suggest that you use the CODESYS raspberry Pi Forum.
If you have signalling issues then I'm sure UniPi can assist you.

      I hope that helps
