@cvdd https://github.com/UniPiTechnology/neuron_tcp_modbus_overlay is only for Neurons and will not work for the UniPi 1. For UniPi 1 there is only Evok as API from us. But if you need Modbus and do not want to use the HTTP REST api, websocket or JSON RPC, then take a look at someone implementing Modbus for UniPi 1

@sabrus Right now one loop in Mervis is about 30-60ms (can be seen while in debug mode in System status tab) but it also depends on the complexity of the application. You can also try to set a lower sleep ration in the task, eg. 5% in stead of 50% to make it little faster. There are some plans to make the whole runtime run much faster but I cannot promise anything...

In the end, nothing else than starting from scratch with a fresh image of the open-source OS helped.
Then I was able to change the evok port to 8085 (instead of 8080) and nginx port to 85 (instead of 80) prior to installing codesys and it worked.

It is possible, but it requires using our image instead of Raspbian. You should be able to use /sys/devices/platform/unipi_plc to find out more information about the system, or simply run "sudo dmesg" after boot, as the image driver performs automatic diagnostics.
