    • RE: evok service fails to start after a reboot

Looks like an apt upgrade was issued without a reboot.
Same thing happened to me after an apt upgrade reboot.
Now your os runs on kernel 4.19 and evok can't access the modules.
I think the kernel modules are incompatible with the new kernel.

Only fresh install of unipian was the easiest way to get the os working again without issuing apt upgrade....
Clean install also fails from a clean raspbian stretch with github install instructions.

    • Setup evok on clean and updated 2019-04-08-raspbian-stretch-lite.img

Last day i destroyed my running UniPian-Neuron-OS-2019-01-07-v1.9 with an apt update and apt upgrade.
The evok service didn't start again after issuing this commands.

Now i try to reinstall from clean raspbian stretch lite image and there seems to be the same issue (manual from github)

What is wrong here? How to make a clean setup?
And how to keep the all time running network device up to date???

Now i will go for the old UniPian Image and not execute the apt upgrade command :(

And here are the outputs from the setup commands:

    • resend unchanged values from DS18B20 sensors

      Hello,
The evok webssocket only sends the changing values(temperature) from the DS18B20 sensors.
If a long time a sensor value not changes, no value is send for this duration.
Is it possible to send for example every 5 minutes the old unchanged value?

      Thanks

    • RE: 1-wire sensors lost after some time

One DS18B20 is faulty. To discover this one sensor was not easy.
Therefore, I have each data line of the sensors (heating) individually connected to the bus and then tested the 1-wire bus. (if the heating sensor data wires are disconnected, the other 2 sensors are transmitting values)
At no time did I disconnect GND and + 5V to a sensor.
Unfortunately the simple connection of the sensor data ware was not sufficient, because EVOK did not deliver any new values.
Only a restart of the module could detect a functioning sensor / 1-wire bus within one minute.
Without restart, the value comes in felt 5-10 minutes, if the bus works well ...

6 sensor wires in one clamp, the faulty was there.
The sensor wires are drilled together and then put in the WAGO clamp.

    • 1-wire sensors lost after some time

1-wire sensors are lost after some time of usage.
for example the recorded data (via node-red to influxdb):
      0_1552202295347_f1345be6-08b3-4641-90a1-aa9c6731b839-grafik.png

i tried to reboot via ssh (M203 Module), this doesn't help (after the last points near 07:45).
There is no issue in the file systems with the used MicroSD card (SanDisk Extreme Pro)
the evok webinterface shows N/A for the defined sensors in the evok.cfg
      0_1552202563107_19807eeb-8f46-44b7-932a-00410ef853b1-grafik.png

For cabling i use a 2x2x0,8 EIB cable. Cable length are different to the sensors (in a range of 5-15 meters)

later i'll take pictures of the wiring points to ensure all things are ok.
( I think there is some issue in the 1-wire port or evok )

Is it planned to integrate a setting function in evok for such type of sensor? (and others)

    • change configuration registers for DS18B20 (1 Wire)

      Hello,

is there a way to change the configuration registers with the EVOK API for DS18B20 sensor?

      thanks

    • Multiple 1wire Sensors (Ds18b20)

In which way I can set the precision for the sensors?

With 10 sensors in the 1wire no new values are transmitted, I think there is some kind of hick up/problem in the 1wire bus. the EVOK web interface and in node red no new values are displayed/transmitted.

Is there a way to optimize the 1wire bus?
10 sensors will need 10* 750ms (12bit precision) to transmit the data, in total 7,5 seconds for all sensors.
In a evok config file there is set an interval of 3 seconds for the i2c bus. Is this value OK? Is this causing my problems in the bus?
Or should a new interval set through device definition in the evok.conf under /etc?

      Thanks
