xG1W-2 Parasitic Power
Hi, Can the xG1W-2 read DS18B20 Temp sensors that are wired on a bus that is operated using Parasitic Power?
Thanks

Modbus Data point setup help Neuron L503
I am trying to use a Wellpro WP3066ADAM to read some one wire sensors over modbus, in Mervis 2.2 I have the modbus channel setup and group setup, configured one datapoint for Sensor 1 so far, but the value I am receiving is not even close to being right. Comes in with something like -3.567589e-18 and it changes when I place the sensor in my hand. I looked at the modbus tutorial but cannot get proper readings.
Can someone please take a look at this modbus command and let me know what I should be entering in the Modbus Datapoint Parameters section for each sensor?
Much Appreciated!

RE: Solution Contains Unknown Module References
The issue I am having is the variables. What is the proper way to migrate to a new version of ide? I downloaded the configuration from the PLC, exported and imported the .hw files and added the program. I'm still missing the variables, is it possible to export the variables or am I going to need to enter them all by hand?
Thanks

Solution Contains Unknown Module References
I am having trouble getting my program to work with an updated Mervis IDE. I used version 2.0.5 on my old computer, and installed version 2.0.12 on my new computer. When I try to open my solution i get a popup that shows the following:
"Solution contains unknown module references. These references will be removed."
So when I click ok for the solution to be fixed it opens but when I try to build solution it fails and a long list of warnings shows up in the results.
Warning Snow 0 1 Changed UID of variable $base$.$sint_to_string$.$eno$.$3f-6b-16-b5-a9-12-be-83-ec-ba-5c-e7-55-b1-fa-ad$
I could use some help to get this straightened out, I would appreciate it
Thanks

RE: Input from file or webservice
I'm interested in this as well. From other posts, I know Others have been looking to do this as well.
Can someone explain the best way to implement via modbus tcp?
Thanks

RE: Setting up 8 Channel 1-wire expander
I was finally able to get back to working on it. I was able to get the AO board working, for some reason the address I was trying was not working. I change the DIP switches and entered the address in Mervis and good to go.
Thank You

RE: Setting up 8 Channel 1-wire expander
Ok, I am having an issue with the I2C, I cannot get the 8 channel 1-wire extender working properly and now I cannot get the 4 AO expansion board working either. So it leads me to believe I am having an address problem, what address do I enter in Mervis when I select on the board?
For instance, the first one, 0 0 0 40 64
Thanks

Setting up 8 Channel 1-wire expander
I hooked up 8 channel 1-wire expander to the I2C, and messed around in Mervis trying to get it up an running without luck. Is there a document that describes how to set it up? If not, can you list out the steps on the forum that way others will be able to search and locate it.
Thanks

RE: One Wire Parasite Power - No Temp Reading
Were you able to take a look into the parasite powered 1-wire sensors?
Thanks

RE: One Wire Parasite Power - No Temp Reading
Ok, I tested a few scenarios now. I figured out, external powered and parasite powered 1-wire sensors will not work together. When using only parasite powered sensors I am able to run up to three together, when a forth is added temperature readings begin to get unstable.
Is unipi/mervis simultaneously converting temps when there is external powered sensors? That would cause the parasite ones to not work together. Is it possible when running only parasite sensors there isn't enough time between calls to get the temp from more than 3 sensors and convert?
Do you think I would be able to use one of the 8 channel expanders and run my three parasite powered sensors on one channel and all external powered sensors on another channel?

RE: One Wire Parasite Power - No Temp Reading
I always get 85, no other reading.
Thank you for taking a look into it, I will give that function block a try tonight.
Correction: I think I may have made a mistake when talking about Parasitic power in another post, I wrote Vdd & Data connected, but I was typing faster than I was thinking. I have Vdd tied to GND, Data is separate.

RE: One Wire Parasite Power - No Temp Reading
Its hard to believe it is incapable of powering a single 1-wire sensor at 3 feet, is it possible something in the settings is not allowing the reading to be returned or converted?

RE: One Wire Parasite Power - No Temp Reading
I have a few 1-wire sensors that I wired up in a 2 wire setup, parasite power that I am unable to access and change the wiring.
I have been experimenting with some extra DS18B20 I have and am able to get mervis to detect them but the temperature stays at 85. Any idea how to fix this issue?
The three sensors I have wired in this application are crucial, so please any help to resolve will be greatly appreciated.

RE: Mervis API - Simple http Commands
I am currently using an open source automation system in my home and setting up Unipi w/Mervis for snow melt and radiant heating in the house. Are there simple http commands that can be used to get the status of one wire sensors, relay states ect. Also is there a way to send basic on/off commands to the unit?
Basically I already have a GUI for the automation in my house and would like to pull some of the information from the unipi for quick and easy monitoring. I am still setting up the Mervis HMI that will be a more in depth view and adjustment of the unipi controlled system.
Thanks

RE: Read the weather
Thank You for the response, I was charting out how I was going to setup the controls for the system and while lining it up the weather came to mind and had to ask. Currently I am just getting the system up and going so automatic control will come at a later date, at that point I will dig into it.

RE: Read the weather
I am using mervis to control my driveway snow melt, I thought I read somewhere that mervis has the capability to monitor the weather. I am subscribed to weather underground to query their xml for my area, is it possible to pull that info to monitor temperature, current conditions and the percent chance of precipitation in Mervis?
Thanks
