        @Jurij Firmware for PLCs isdistributed inside our images. If you boot UniPi with the latest UniPian, it will automatically flash the latest version. If you want to upgrade FW on extensions, you have to do that using our FW upgrade tool and a USB-RS485 converter.

        IMPORTANT NOTE:
        As of 2019, this is no longer true. The firmware can be upgraded only manually via SSH.

            ist this the same prcedure for the unipi 1.1? only to be sure. load the image to a ney sd card put in the sd slot and boot the system? after booting use the old sd card for running fhem...?

              Hello @origami,
              the UniPi 1.1 doesn't need any firmware. To use the newest set of tools, do full update & upgrade of the operating system.
