unipi + Raspberry Pi 7” Touchscreen Display
-
Hello
I have a raspberry pi 3B and attached to the 7" display, an i would like to boy and install a unipi lite, or normal, but from pictures i can't understand how could i install it with the ribbon because where the unipi should be is the display now.
Best regards. -
@devil You would have to make a custom ribbon cable because UniPi and the Touchscreen are not designed to work together = this does not mean they will not work.
But from what I briefly checked, the display controller needs only 5V and GND from the RPi pinout, which you can take from the UniPi (eg, from the UART RJ12 connector).

If I want to connect 7" display via ribbon cable by slot on PI 3B, not by pins on GPIO, is there any option how to use display in same time with UniPi? Display needs to be connected to 5V, GND and SDA, SCL pin (I2C). What I see in pictures, GPIO is used to connection UniPI so I think that display can be connected to UniPI. I hope that it is possible.
