      Hello,

the sensors are now supported only in the Mervis (and maybe Rex). With the release of Neuron generation we will make a huge update to evok wchih will provide support for the humidity sensors too.

Dear Team, do we have an update on that? Is there a list of new features to evok? Best Regards, David

Humidity sensor for Unipi 1.1 & Evok

This thread was open 2 years ago.
Reading the staff´s messages about near-future releasing this hardware ... I have been buying new Unipi boards.
I think that this has not accomplished.
          Or maybe I am wrong.

          So,
Can you give a solution about humidity sensors "understandable" by Evok?
          Maybe a third party component?
Maybe some documentation about any adaptation, or DIY solution?

          Regards,

@tenallero You might have noticed the recent extensive work on Evok https://github.com/UniPiTechnology/evok/commits/master. The humidity sensors are also currently in development and should be included in the master branch next week if everything goes well.

There is always a DIY solution, eg. OWFS.

              Tomas,

              Nice to hear from you.
I have been following the repository recent commits.
So, I will wait for your future announcements.

              About OWFS:
I must admit I am not strong with OWFS.
My question is if I can use OWFS to adapt 1-Wire sensors. So Evok server could "re-transmit" the data.
Browsing the Evok repository, I have found code about OWBUS (owfs?).
Am I into the good path to integrate owfs & Evok?

              Thanks in advance

@tenallero Evok is actually using owfs - https://github.com/UniPiTechnology/evok/blob/master/evok/owclient.py#L232

So evok is basically retransmitting the data between OWFS and its APIs... BUT there is a lot of code to adopt OWFS to the evok infrastructure to be able to provide it to the APIs :)

                  Tomas,

                  Thanks.
This is good point to me to start studying.
If I understand well ...to be able to use owfs, I don´t need to change evok code. I need to code at owfs layer?

@tenallero You can use owfs completely separately from evok. You can also use owhttpd which provides the whole 1wire network on HTTP basis..

                      New sensors finaly arrived.......1-WIRE-T-O indoor/outdoor & 1-WIRE-T-R-EVAPCB-BOX.
                      But where is humidity ?

@blacksoll Those products are only temperature sensors. If you are looking for humidity sensor, take a look at our offer of the Sedtronic products: https://www.unipi.technology/sedtronic-1-wire-sensor-p67?categoryId=3
