      Hello all,

I'm having some issues with evok and 1-wire temperature sensors. The sensors are working for some time, and then for some reason the temperature updates just stop (varies from 1day to 1 week) and always reporting the same value.

When I restart evok service all the sensors disapear from the evok web. When I use the owbus_scan(circuit) it says none and it will not appear.

The only way to resolve this is to disconnect the power outlet and connect it again (rebooting the unipi does not do the trick).

It may be a some problem with cabling or something like that since I have 7 sensors in 2 hubs spread over more than 30 meters of cabling, but I'm not sure at this point.

      Any ideas are appreciated

        Hi,

I had a similar problem, and got it sorted. See the Thread here: https://forum.unipi.technology/topic/180/emo-r8-intermittently-not-seen-by-i2c/9

basically, it was interference and a bit of tin foil sorted it out!
        Merv.

Also try using shielded cable for between UniPi and hubs and connect the shielding to the buildings ground...
