JP6 select between 5V / 3.3V

  • Hello,

I have question - JP6 is default shorted on 5V option.

If JP6 shorted 5V - it means provide 5V to VCC pin on both RJ11 or only for UART VCC ?
If JP6 shorted 3.3V - it means provide 3.3V to VCC pin on both RJ11 or only for UART VCC? ?

What's logic level for I2C_1 (RJ11) ? It's dependent on the voltage selection jumper?
What's logic level for UART (RJ11) ? It's dependent on the voltage selection jumper?

Sorry for question, but PDF does not specify this issue, for what is JP6

  • Hello,

exactly as you say. JP6 only switches between 5V/3V3 for the connected device to the UART. The data lines are connected directly to GPIOS of RPi (so 3V3).

However the I2C data line is converted to 5V and cannot be changed.
